Luca+Marziale+portrait.jpg

Luca Marziale works in abstract micro-landscapes, focusing in on natural elements and organisms found in extreme environments.

By exploring abstract micro-landscapes in extreme environments, Luca Marziale challenges the boundaries of conventional landscape photography, revealing unseen worlds in natural elements. Using a medium-format film camera, he captures intricate patterns and textures, allowing the ordinary to dissolve into the extraordinary. Marziale’s work explores the intersection between nature and abstraction, inviting viewers to reimagine their relationship with the landscape. Born in Lugano, Switzerland, he is a BFA graduate from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Marziale’s large-scale prints have been exhibited in important solo and group shows, including SCOPE (Basel and Miami), The Other Art Fair (London), and CONTEXT (New York City). His work has also been featured by the United Nations, National Geographic, and New Scientist. He is represented by galleries; Artstar (New York City) and Artistics (Paris) and currently lives and works between Milan and Lugano.
